About – Mark Braxton

Mark Braxton is an educator, author, poet, and visual artist from Raleigh, NC. He was diagnosed with Vitiligo over 25 years ago. Mark joined the NC Vitiligo Support Community in 2019. He started his advocacy journey by presenting to students in the Wake County Public School System, local churches, and other organizations. Mark was asked to join the Vitfriends Podcast in 2020, where he currently serves as the lead podcast host. His show is titled Living Life and Love. Mark also serves on the board for Vitfriends and taught painting classes for Vitfriends during the nationwide shutdown. He is currently one of the leaders of the NC Vitiligo Support Community.

Mark’s motto is Remember to love someone, most of all, look in the mirror and tell yourself “I Love You!”

This session will provide awareness,  education, and empowerment for the loved ones who support someone living with Vitiligo. We will discuss vitiligo awareness in the school setting, with family members, and significant others.
